Thank you for using Nahrin (“we”, “our”, or “the App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and handle information when you use our mobile application and web services. By using Nahrin, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, display name, and optional profile photo. This information is used to identify your account and enable communication within the app.
Nahrin allows you to upload and share content including text messages, posts, event details, images, videos, voice recordings, and comments. You choose what to share. We only store the data required to provide core app features.
We request permission to use your camera and storage so you can capture photos, record videos, upload existing images or videos, and send voice recordings within the app. We never access your camera or microphone without direct user action.
Voice messages are optional. We access your microphone only while recording, and only after you grant permission. We never record audio automatically or in the background.
We collect information about your device type, operating system, in-app actions such as messages sent or events created, crash logs, diagnostics, and performance data to help improve functionality and reliability.
If you choose to share your location, we collect precise or approximate data. This is used to display maps, posts, or event locations. We do not collect background location unless you explicitly enable it.
We use collected information to provide messaging and social features, allow media uploads, authenticate accounts, deliver notifications, improve performance, and prevent abuse or fraud. We do not sell your information.
We do not sell or rent user data. Limited data may be shared with service providers who operate backend systems such as databases, hosting, analytics, or authentication. These providers receive only the minimum data required to operate the service.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect user safety, rights, or property.
All communications are encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Media files and user data are stored securely. We implement authentication and access controls. No system is 100% secure, but we actively work to protect user information.

We retain messages, posts, and uploaded files until you delete them. Account data is removed upon deletion of your account. Backup copies may remain for a limited time for system recovery.
Nahrin is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover such data, it will be removed immediately.
Nahrin may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or content of those external sites.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in technology, regulations, or app functionality. Updates will be posted here with a new date. Continued use of the app means acceptance of changes.
